A couple of simple golf tips that I would like to add to the blog this week are ones that very often get overlooked. One is about releasing the hands to make better golf shots and the other is just to remember to have fun.
So Let’s Look at Releasing the Hands First
Seeing your shots consistently flying off to the right can be caused by letting the body slide to far too the left in the downswing. So concentrate on restricting this next time out and watch the results. It might just be the culprit.
Plus, as you follow through on the downswing, you should concentrate your efforts on having your hands released quickly. Having the consistent ability to release your hands quickly will help your shots to be accurate.

Have Some Fun Out There
Yep I know, the simple golf tips are the best. What simpler golf tips can there be than remembering to have fun out there! So often forgotten especially if your games going all wrong.
If you have fun with your golf game, it will give you the motivation to keep practicing. The more you play and the more people you play with, the faster your game will improve. Good fun and good company, what more can anyone ask for.
The sport of golf has been popular for well over 500 years. It has changed a lot between then and now, but remains both relaxing and intense for players. Not to mention the hundreds of millions who have been entertained over the years.
Consider bringing a small, high-protein snack, such as nuts, with you out on the course. Golf demands both physical and mental effort. A nutritional snack can help you complete your 18 holes without feeling fatigued and allow you to stay focused.
If your an early bird out on the fairways then sneaker style golf shoes would be best avoided in wet conditions. Nothing wrong with the shoe style and they are really comfortable but the downside is their inability to cope with wet grass or morning dew.
Certainly you’ll find some makers that have waterproof versions of these sneaker style shoes but they are far and few between. Think comfort and you’ll get so much more from your game.
To help get consistency off the tee, make sure you are teeing the ball up at the same height each time. Teeing in the wrong spot can make you pop up the ball and lose distance, or it may cause you to hit grounders. By investing some time in drive practice, this will allow for some tee height experimentation, you can find the height that gives you optimum distance potential with each shot.
A couple of simple golf tips about the swing:
Stay relaxed when stepping up to address the ball. It’s so easy to get tensed up particularly if the shot ahead is a tricky one.
Be sure to loosen up before you take your swing and remain relaxed while maintaining the correct posture.
As strange as it may sound, a game of mini golf can help you improve your real golf game. Your short game will be better from the practice you do on the miniature obstacles. Obstacles such as hills and dips with windmills strategically placed can help to learn and understand tactical play in preparation for the real thing.
Two simple golf tips about looking after your golf course greens and fairways. It’s so easy when after hitting a successful shot into the heart of the green to walk on to see how close to the flag the ball has landed. Instead take a moment to replace any divot marks you have made to keep the fairways in good condition.
Also, high balls that fly and land on the green such as a high flying chipping shot, can create large depressions that can damage the grass. This would be unfair and would frustrate those behind you that have to putt on them. You can use an inexpensive tool designed for repairing divots or simply use a tee, to pull the grass back up to a flattened position.
Golf has an enthusiastic following and for good reason. Now you just need to work it into your game. Following these simple golf tips will help to give you the basics to play and enjoy this great game.
